The Area Sales Manager is responsible for directing all sales activities within the company and ensuring the company’s sales grow year on year.

Responsibilities

  • Devising and implementing the Envirotrol sales strategy throughout North and South Carolina.

  • Setting sales targets for Envirotrol and setting key sales performance indicators.

  • Directs market segmentation and channel development activity. Coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.

  • Meeting with the sales team as needed to assess company performance against KPI’s.

  • Presenting sales results against set targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

  • Providing pipeline analysis and adjusting sales focus accordingly

  • Ensure the integrity of the CRM is accurate for forecasting purposes

  • Implementing an effective sales pipeline and lead tracking process.

  • Implementing a variety of new business initiatives to drive sales.

  • Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.

  • Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities.

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.

  • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.

  • Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals at the owner and c-suite level

  • Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units to include operations.

  • Ensures internal processes are followed including operational reviews, job setup, and turnover meetings

  • Prepares sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

  • Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.

  • Implementing sales strategies across the company and monitoring effectiveness.

  • Overseeing performance management of under-performing sales staff.

  • Ensuring the organization has an effective sales training program to maximize sales productivity results.

  • Creating and personal training and development for each Sales team member and ensuring progress is made

  • Working with members of the executive leadership team on budgeting and planning.

  • Negotiating agreements for contracts with customers and ensuring that deliverables are professionally presented.

  • Implementing best practice in sales techniques throughout the department.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as a sales leader, ideally for a similar organization.

  • Must have HVAC Service and/or Controls Automation Sales Experience.

  • Must have B2B, Owner direct, solutions sales experience

  • Natural leader with an ability to inspire performance with sales teams.

  • Strong Sales financial understanding such as close ratios, pull through ratios, and factored forecasting

  • Strong commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial approach to business development.

  • Formal sales and process training would be an advantage but not essential.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and delivery of results to business plans.

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant experience
