Develops long-term customer relationships with accounts such as commercial clients, education, property managers, contractors, consulting architects, engineers, and owners. With assistance, ensures retention and growth, where possible of current accounts. Partners with other sales team members to maximize profit generation from accounts through influence on proposed specifications and market pricing (contractors). Utilizes sales tools to plan and document progress as well as increase business opportunity in accounts. Achieves quarterly quotas and annual sales goals. Obtains leads and closes sales.
Executes and maintains frequent face-to-face contact with the customers who most directly influence purchasing decisions.
Actively listens, probes, identifies customer concerns, and perform needs assessment through the developed understanding of our customer’s business.
Immediately addresses issues that may arise and offer problem-solving solutions with particular sensitivity to performance lapses.
Develops credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment through relationship building.
Sells all facets of services offered including: commercial applied HVAC equipment repairs and troubleshooting services, preventative maintenance service contracts, facility monitoring, test and balance, energy studies, controls, operations staffing and training, electrical and other solutions related to energy savings concepts.
Achieves quarterly and annual sales and gross margin targets in order to expand business.
Provides technical and product training to customers.
Provides management with weekly progress reports of account status; solicits assistance from managers to keep the sales progression moving.
Develops relationships with internal operations and administrative staff to ensure customer satisfaction, and effectively and efficiently address issues.
Participates in professional organizations such as ASHRAE.
Coordinates all activities with Sales Manager and relevant department managers.
Job Requirements / Special Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
Minimum of two years proven sales history; HVAC sales and/or Professional Engineer Certification a plus.
Knowledge of HVAC design and application tools or related technical discipline is a desired skill
Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office applications; experience with CRM/sales software applications a plus.
Ability to travel up to 75 % of the time; covering various territories.
A minimum of five years of progressive field HVAC sales experience.
Demonstrates a commitment to integrity and quality in business.
Excellent initiative and interpersonal communications skills.
Demonstrates an ability to influence account decision makers at key levels.
Salesforce CRM experience a plus.
