This position requires office presence of 90% or more of working hours with occasional site work required in the interest of problem-solving, project scope, and other work as directed by Design Engineering Manager. You will communicate with customers, contractors, subcontractors, select appropriate field devices, create drawings, and make updates and revisions as needed.

DESIGN ENGINEER-ELECTRICAL CONTROLS RESPONSIBILITIES:

​

• Use customer drawings to carry out design drafting activities authorized by the Design Engineering Manager

• Create working drawings for Panel Shop, In-House, and Field Installers

• Ensure GAMP/cGxP procedures are being adhered to as required by project scope

• Meet PLC and DDC specifications and design standards

• Ensure departmental SOP is adhered to

• Schedule direct reports to work on projects

• Ensure Company Safety Policies are adhered to

• Ensure site projects are completed on time, under or at budget, and with 100% customer satisfaction

• Assist in commissioning/testing activities as required by the Design Engineering Manager

DESIGN ENGINEER-ELECTRICAL CONTROLS QUALIFICATIONS:

​

• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, architectural, schematics and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

• Proficient in electrical distribution and control theory/application

• Ability to design communication network architecture in Ethernet/IP, BACNet MSTP, BACNet IP, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, and other networks as dictated by project specifications

• Proficient in SolidWorks Electrical

• Ability to adhere to the financial requirements of the project as related to drafting and component selection

• Must be a highly motivated individual, possessing time management skills and ability to multitask

• Understanding of data center and facility infrastructure is desirable

• Experience in a heavily regulated cGxP environment is desirable
