About the Role
Are you a Development Engineer looking for a great company? Envirotrol is one of the leading industrial HVAC service and controls companies in the southeastern United States. We are growing rapidly and looking for a skilled Controls Engineering Developer to join our team. This role is a full time position with expectation of 50% Unapplied labor and 50% Applied labor. In this role you will support the Controls Group in general as well as specialties within our PLC group and DDC Group. You will have 50% Field Time on site projects supporting commissioning controlled systems.

CONTROLS ENGINEERING DEVELOPER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a pulse on emerging technologies and how they can contribute to the operations of our Controls group
Support efforts in automating processes using Visual Basic, JAVA and .Net Framework
Support integration and development using APIs and web scraping
Assist Software Engineer in developing sequence of operation programming to meet project requirements
Develop a working knowledge of and support Control Network design, including RS-485, Ethernet, Redundant rings, and Secure connections to outside networks
Support Software Engineer with functional block automation (Allen Bradley, Distech, etc.)
Test new solutions as they become available and apply those solutions to control’s group operations
Synchronization connections
Develop a working knowledge of and support PLC PAX objects utilized in software and graphics packages
Upgrade software versions on office licensed servers, workstations, and client servers
EDUCATION:
This Position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
3 years of Electrical Controls experience
JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIAL SKILLS:
Ability to contribute to sophisticated innovations in the area of building controls and automation initiatives
Ability to improve HMI Interface with various systems
Use new technology and develop implementation to overall departmental offerings as a means to meet customer needs and as new revenue streams
Have thorough understanding of API tools and utilize those tools for integration into Distech Controllers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Thorough understanding of electrical wiring and computer software engineering
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to create reports and documentation
